I had Gastric Bypass Feb 10th of this year! Ever since the operation my last 2 fingers on each hand has been num! After seeing a Nerv Dr about this he told me this was the due to the way i was laid out on the table during the operation and this happens alot I was also told that there is nothing that can be done to fix this! Do I have a case against the Dr that performed the operation?

Re: After effects from gastric Bypass

You have one year from the date of discovery of your injury under Tennessee law to file a lawsuit if you have not settled your case. The value of your case depends upon a variety of factors, including the amounts and types of your medical bills since the discovery of the possible problems with your surgery and the amount of any possible lost wages, among other things. You should be sure to preserve the evidence of your injuries as much as possible, by making pictures and/or video, if applicable, and making sure you are currently obtaining adequate medical treatment. You should look at this point at obtaining assistance from a firm competent in medical malpractice law. These types of cases are very difficult to prove usually, and you should get a proper evaluation of you possible rights as soon as possible.
