Legal Question in Personal Injury in Tennessee

7 Car accident

I was in a 7 car accident 10/24/03, the person that caused the accident was given a citation for falure to maintain proper control an has paid the citation. Her insurance company says this may take a long time and says as of 03/01/04 she only has three of the sevens claims the other three went through their insurance co and she hasn't received any infomation from the insurance companies. My 1997 Astro has $6406.00, the only transpotation we have for personal & for my carpet cleaning business which is the only income we have.I have actually caught the claim adjuster in a 2 different lies. what can i do at this point, this has really torn me apart.

Re: 7 Car accident

If you are having trouble corresponding with the adjuster, you may be dealing with an adjuster who is not devoting the proper amount of time to your claim. That can be very frustrating. The statute of limitations to file a lawsuit in Tennessee is one year. If you have personal injuries in addition to your property damage claim, the medical bills need to be provided to the adjuster.

Obtaining medical bills can take time. But do not let the statute of limitations run without filing a lawsuit if a settlement cannt be reached with the adjuster.
