Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Tennessee

Property line growth

My neighbor planted directly on the property line and now the growth from the trees extends eight to ten feet inside my property. I want to erect a property line fence and my neighbor is adamantly against trimming the trees. Do I have a right to the footagetaken by their trees?

Re: Property line growth

You have a right to trim the tree back to the property line. That means that any branches that stick out onto your property, you may trim; just be sure not to trim them past your property line (think of it as an invisible wall).
