Re: Statute of limitations

In Tennessee a worker who believes that she is a victim of sexual harrassment must file a complaint with the EEOC within 180 days of the harassment. Ongoing harassment can be very tricky to determine when the deadline runs. A victim must also file a complaint with the in-house procedure established by the employer for dealing with harassment. State law claims must be filed either in court or with the Tennessee Human Rights Commission within 300 days.

Every state is different. These situations are very difficult. A lawyer can be a very big help.
