Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

I just asked you a question about the debt collector calling my work and demanding I pay right then or they would send it to the constable in my state. Is that legal ? And do they have to legally tell me they are a debt collection company? That company has not sent me anything from them . Should I not pay them right then and pay it as I can? What will happen with there threat?

I would not pay a collector who has violated collection laws. If you know the creditor, call them to make arrangements to pay as you can. The threat is a reason not to pay such a collector.
