Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

Made a payment plan but Chiro is still suing me

After not receiving money out of a personal injury (automobile)lawsuit, (he was informed that no medical bills were paid), the chiropractor had his ''collector'' harass and threaten me for months. He said he would have me charged with criminal charges and insurance fraud. My former lawyer wrote a letter making him stop it. So he filed to sue me in small claims court - adding additional $1000 excess office visit charges. My husband started a payment plan, but, the chiro is still suing regardless of getting his weekly payments. The case is April 16. Do I have any options left??

Thank you...

Attend the Small Claims trial on April 16, be prepared to show the judge what steps you've taken, and complain about the excess charges.

That's your only option at this point. It's really like Judge Wapner on TV, except with Wapner, each side has a podium, while in JP court, both sides will stand in front of the judge.
