Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

We have been served with civil suit for a credit card debt. The attorneys of record are the same as the lawyer collection company that tried to collect. We had received a letter from the original company that they were going to have to write off the debt. I sent a Cert. Mail w/Return Receipt Requested 2 times requesting proof of validity of debt, which the law firm collection company could not provide. Now, attached on these law suit papers is the same 1 sheet computer print sheet that they sent when they sent their original threatening letter. We have to respond to this, but I’m not sure what needs to be done. Can you recommend how to proceed?

Write the court and copy the lawfirm that you do not owe the debt as claimed..and swear to it before a notary..but a company charge off has nothing to do with what is owed
