Legal Question in Discrimination Law in Texas

My boyfriend is 18 years older than me and was banned from my apartment complex last night. We have done nothing wrong. He never stays the night, and the courtesy officer couldn't tell us why he was being kicked off the property.

We have broken curfew a few times, but not since they warned that he would be banned from ever coming here again. Since then, we have followed all rules religiously. Can they do this?

I suspect that the guy is mad about the age difference between the two of us. I am around the age of the courtesy officer and people who have witnessed our problems with him insist that he likes me and is trying to eliminate my older boyfriend. Is there anything I can do about this?

Hi, I am Kenneth Gober, an Austin Texas Trial Lawyer.

It is hard to answer your questions without knowing all of the facts.

A strongly worked letter from a lawyer may help the situation in either: 1. Allowing your boyfriend on the property, or 2. Letting you out of the lease.

I am happy to consult with you and possibly write the letter depending on the circumstances.

Give me a call: 512-827-7548.
