Re: DWI

You may not necessarily get jail time, but with this offense you face some very serious pitfalls. For example, if you don't request a hearing within 15 days of your arrest, your license will be suspended in 41 days from the time of your arrest, and that does not have to happen if you hire a DWI lawyer. The pitfalls with a DWI are significant in Texas. Additionally, there are surcharges for a second DWI after fines, court costs, etc. in the amount of $1500.00 per year for three years. Again, you need to hire and seek out a DWI lawyer, not just a criminal lawyer, but one that actually handles DWI cases.
