Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Need Him Out, Please Help

Have been together 13 years and have 2 kids. On some papers have marked common law but he wasn't divorced until recently from 1st wife. Heres the problem....his parents willed property to BOTH of us but the home that is on property is in my name ONLY. I got the home in 1997 when we were together but he was still married. He refuses to leave and I am told I can't make him since his name is on property. I don't care if he's on property, just don't want him to be able to come and go in my home as he pleases. He has made verbal threats to kill or cause injury and I have them recorded but was told he has to injure me to press charges. Can I keep him from entering my home? Can I press charges if he does enter the home? He is DANGEROUS to me and my kids....PLEASE HELP.

I cannot imagine who the idiot was that told you he had to injure you to press charges. Go to your local county's DA's office and tell them you want a protective order. Good Luck.
