Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I divorced my children's father in the early sixties. I married another who never adopted my children but I changed their names so we would all have the same last names. Now the children are in their fifties and cannot get their driver's lisences renewed because their birth certificates don't match their names. I have sent for both of my marriage certificates. Renewing their licenses wasn't a problem until this year, What else do I need to do?
