Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My ex-fiancee is refusing to give the engagement ring back. She is claiming I walked out on her even though 2 days later I said we needed to think this over and i spent months trying to talk to her and fix things but she would not take me back. What would the courts rule in this case?

An engagement ring is a gift given in return for a promise of marriage. If you offered the engagement ring to your fiance in exchange for her promise to marry you, and then you ended the engagement, then she is not required to return the engagement ring to you.
