Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

A friend of mine is getting divorced. He has an eight year old daughter with his wife. He is a good father, pays child support, no abuse or neglect, etc. However, he is seeing someone else and they plan to move in together as soon as his house sells. Is there any way that his wife can have it added to the divorce decree that she does not want her daughter around any other females? Even for a period of time?

If your "friend" does not have an attorney, he needs one right now!

It is my opinion that if he is dating someone, that person should not be introduced to the child while the divorce is pending.

Yes, the wife can have her husband prohibited from having her around the other woman.

I strongly urge your "friend" to consult with a family law attorney immediately.

In the Houston area I highly recommend PATRICIA BUSHMAN at 713-807-9405. Talk to talk to Jessica and tell her that FRAN sent you.
