Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

if i recieve a letter from the district clerk's office stating my case # and court # and informing me that the following activity has occurred texas dept of family and protective vs. adriene nicole thomas attorney ad litem fee awarded. what does this mean because i have always had my own attorney and paid out of pocket?

The ad litem probably does NOT represent you. You'll want to look at the order appointing him to see whom he represents (probably the child).
