what do i need to do to represent myself in court without an attorney?

Spend every evening in the law library from the time you get off work 'til midnight. When you know the Rules of Civil Procedure, the Rules of Evidence, the Family Code and all the cases in the last 10 years in those areas, then you might have a chance. Good Luck.
