Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I am currently a resident of Texas and am on the verge of a divorce. I am a male and we have been married over 10 years. My dillema is that I am a stay at home dad tending to two kids ages 12 and 10. I have been in this role for the past 8 years, doing the housekeeping, cooking, etc.

What remedies do I have for loss of income, child support, etc. should a divorce actually occur?

I would be glad to discuss your questions if you would contact me directly at 713-600-5500. I am a board certified specialist in the field of family law, practicing in the general Houston area. Upon commencement of a divorce you should seek to have the Court enter appropriate temporary orders while the divorce is pending. At this hearing the Court can can consider and determine temporary custody, child support and temporary spousal support. Give me a call if you want to discuss some specifics concerning these issues.

You need to be talking to an experienced family law attorney immediately!

You need knowledge! Please get in touch with someone with experience in family law, especially as a stay-at-home dad.

The laws in Texas are "technically" gender neutral.

If you need a referral to a family law attorney, let me know. I'm not accepting cases because my mom's really ill.
