Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Me and my wife are cuurently seperated and we have 2 children. She is a drug addict and I specifically told her that if she gives me a clean drug test, I will move back home. We live in Texas and 3 weeks ago, she took the kids and went to her parents vacation home in new Mexico. She is now in Colorado at her sisters and is not giving me a clear time that she is coming home and telling me that if I want to see the kids then I will have to go through court. I am very worried about my children and my intentions were never to get a divorce but instead to get her to quit. Is there anything that I can do in the meantime to make sure I am able to see my children? Please help...I am very worried about my children.

Thank you,

Brent

You need to consult with a family law attorney ASAP!

You may need to file for divorce in Texas, before she has the kids out of Texas long enough to be able to file for divorce in Colorado.

Good Luck!

Since Texas does not have legal separation, you must file for divorce.

If you wait, then your children will become residents of the new state.

You need to file NOW and ask for temp. orders.

Good luck!
