Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My divorce is not final but I pay 3,000 dollars in child support for two kids. We are both professionals and she's trying to delay the divorce proceedings because I was made to continue payments on household bills also. Recently, I discovered an illness that require me to take a leave from work. I will get a reduction in income because I will need to receive longterm disability from insurance. What will this do to my obligations to the payments?

It can reduce the amount you must pay, but the answer depends on a totality of the circumstances.

You should consult with a divorce lawyer for a more in-depth analysis of your situation.

Good Luck!
