Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Texas

A civil claim was filed against me in connection with an incident at a local store. The store made a settlement offer before the scheduled court date. By law am I required to take them on this settlement offer although I'm innocent?

No. But it's usually best to try to settle before trial if the offer is reasonable. If not, then your trial will go on as scheduled.
