Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Texas

I am the co-signer to a loan through a credit company. The primary account holder agreed to make all the payments to pay off the loan. He/she failed to make the payments the account went delinquent and I had to pay it for it not to harm my credit. Can I take her to small claims court to retrieve the money.
