Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Texas

Ex-wife loan

I loaned my ex-wife $1500 (have the check and a signed statement from her about payback) with the intent she would repay me $50 per paycheck until paid back. I received 2 payments from her and she refuses to pay more, stating that I told her it was a ''gift''. Is there anything I can do to get the money back or is it better just to let it go?

Re: Ex-wife loan

The most cost effective remedy would be to file suit against her in small claims court.

Re: Ex-wife loan

You can bring suit against her in Small Claims Court. Collecting upon the judgment would be the difficult part.
