Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Texas

Identity theft

I was informed recently of an account that is past due in my name with Nieman Marcus Dallas. I have never opened an account there. My social security number and my Tx. driver's lisence number were used with my name . The alternate users on the account were named to me . I do not know them and the address on the account is not mine ,but thiers. I filed a report with the P.D it did no good. Can I sue them for using my info in a fraudulent manner? I still do not know how they have my info I have my documents and have not replaced or lost them .

Re: Identity theft

Contact the Federal Trade Commission, and all the credit agencies, that your identity has been taken.

Contact Nieman Marcus and tell them that the account isn't yours, that they've taken your identity.

All contact should be in writing, certified mail, return receipt requested.
