Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Texas

Truck

My sister purchased a truck for her xboyfriend-for which he paid in full. 2 yrs after they seperated, he left truck in shop for repair. The repair shop had truck for almost 2yrs and made a title search for the owner. they were getting ready to auction the truck off since the owner never returned or fixed it. My sister came up on the title searc and the shop owner said if she paid $500 he would give her the truck. He just did not want to store it anymore. Now that my sister has the truck her x boyfriend is demanding she give him back the truck. He abandoned the truck for almost 2 years and now wants it back. Does she need to return the truck?

Re: Truck

Reviewing this quickly - it seems the cause of action, if any, for the ex-boyfriend would lie against the repair shop, not against the sister. She is not legally obligated to do anything with respect to the ex-boyfriend and certainly does NOT have to give up the truck to anyone. She bought it fair and square. Hope this helps.
