Legal Question in Immigration Law in Texas

Is it permissible for me and my Peruvian girlfriend to apply for 2 separate visas at the same time? She is a lawyer in Lima, working for the government. We want to apply for a fiance visa in order to marry here. But also, it would be nice to get a tourist visa for a quick visit first.

Yes, she can apply. I assume that she will apply for a tourist visa first. Whether a tourist visa will be approved under the circumstances you described, will depend on whether she will be able to prove her non-immigrant intent.
