Legal Question in Employment Law in Texas

A compensation question

I am a full time, hourly employee at a major company. I was being compensated with an additional amount of pay because I staffed a specialized area requiring an exceptional skill. The company has recently announced that they are moving this area out of the country. They have offered to re-absorb myself and my fellow staffers, but we will automatically lose our additional compensation. Is this legal, or, if the change is initiated by our employer, are they required to allow us to retain our compensation until our pay level catches up with our compensation?

Re: A compensation question

Yes, this is certainly legal. You could even be terminated for no cause or any cause whatsoever unless you were being discriminated against on some basis recongnized by state or federal law.
