Legal Question in Employment Law in Texas

Hello Goodafternoon,

Question? My husband had worked for this company for the past couple of years (10+) as a worker for his brothers and then he decided to become a sub-contractor. At this time since last year we have been trying to collect some money that they owe us for a job, according to the contractor we did not get paid for not doing the job correctly. I myself did some investigating and spoke to the site inspector who inspected my husband's job and reported to me that my husband always performed perfectly. I informed the inspector of what this company wanted to do to us and said is what not fair because to begin my husband was not at fault for ruining the job. his job. my husband was asked to continue his job after completing this apartment complex he was given other jobs to perform but this contractor detained the money for the other jobs performed to this we were never given a check for the apartment complex that he so called "ruined" Anywho the inspector advised me that the people who were at fault for the ruin were the "siding employees" I dont think this is fair. I really need some advise, I would really appreciate the advise given and the time..... thanks a bunch

Your husband needs a lawyer to collect..and if he waits, his rights may be lost...but collecting from general contractors who know the subs need them to do any work requires guts...but he must call a local lawyer..and be prepared to go to Court if economics are right...good luck
