Legal Question in Employment Law in Texas

My job

Im a truck driver the company i actually work for is leased to another trucking company. In oct i was injured on the job, and forced to take employment with the lease company meaning i no longer worked for my parent company. Now im getting close to recieving my work release, and no ones sure who im going to be working for. My parent original boss claims i no longer work for him, and the lease company i seem to be currently working for doesnt really know if theres a position open for me. Can they fire me? Am I entitled to some kind of compensation? Will my parent company be required to offer me my old driver job back? I really need to know as my familys well being will depend on these upcoming events.

Re: My job

Employers are not required to hire employees back..the law only forbids discriimination for making a work comp claim..and in Texas an emploeyr can fire for any reason...so start looking everywhere since you must have a good record..good luck..or apply for unemployment when benefits cease
