Legal Question in Employment Law in Texas
Is it legal for my former employer to withhold my check until I come talk to him face to face. With all other terminations the check is to be picked up at the corporate office. He told my wife he deliberately hid my check so that my wife could not pick it up with her check. I owe the company no money. I have a family to support and him doing this is taking away from my childrens needs. He also knows we are behind on car payment and we fear the car will be taken and then we cant make a living at all. Is there anything I can do?

What he has done is illegal.
Contact the Texas Workforce Commission and report him.
