I work in retail in Texas. For the third payroll in a row, I have noticed that even though I have worked more than forty hours, my total time paid is coming out to be 39.56 or 39.80 hrs. I clock in and out via a Quick Books system and there are no printed records. Is it legal for someone to be adjusting my time to where it doesn't exceed 40 hours per week to avoid paying me overtime even though I know I have worked longer??
