Houston Texas, picked up weekly renter on verbal lease. He claims his weekly rate is entire month. lied about having criminal backround 18+years confinement over coarse of life, has unauthorized cotenant, refuses to sign new lease. Can I just call sheriff to remove him. Notice to terminate is 7 days not 30? terms and changes effective in 7 days? how much rent can i raise him for his cotenant, how do i handle this guy? Thanks. No, you can't just "call the sheriff" and get the guy out. You have to go through a procedure called forcible entry & detainer; it's through the Justice Court.
