Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Texas

I am renting a house with a month to month lease and ther are several things wrong ie. water heater on floor, water in electric box when it rains holes in kitchen sink(told me to caulk it), rotting garage door, gutters falling off(fixed front on mothers day but not side or back) and more. Now my ac is not wopring properly(wont go lower than 80 in day time and 77 at night. she told me shr "can't pull 1200 out of her ass" and if she fixed it she would go up on my rent 300 dollars. the ac is still not fixed and she wants to come pick up the rent. do i have to give it to her?

As long as you live there, you have to pay the rent. Withholding rent is NOT allowed.

Your best remedy: Move out.
