My child was hurt by another child at school, who should pay the hospital and doctor bills?

Does the school have insurance for this?

The parents and the school may both be responsible. These kinds of cases always turn on the specific facts involved.

As far as insurance coverage: The school will have coverage (but also my have a government immunity defense); if the other child's parents have renter's or homeowner's insurance then that policy my provide coverage.

Ultimately you MUST discuss these matters with a lawyer who handles personal injury claims. How badly was the child hurt to require hospital care (reply to [email protected]).
