Homeowners Claim Settlement
IS there ever an exception to a Max payout on a homeowners policy per incident ? If the max payout is $300,000 per incident for example, Will the insurance company ever payout more than the Max policy ? Claim is based on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd degree burns..
Happened at neighbors house, and he has admitted to his fault of what caused the accident, We have a written report from the claim adjust. that came over, that states he was at fault.
My question again, Is if the Max policy amount is not justifiable, Can you request more and have them make an exception ?

No. Insurance is a contract for a stated amount. That's all the insurance company is liable for. That's it.

Even if homeowner admits fault, insurer does not have to pay. Do not wait too long to hire a lawyer...unless an offer is made you cannot turn down. Medical providers, such as hospitals, personal insurance may have a right to be paid. Good luck...we do handle such cases..but have never had reasonable offer without a lawsuit..

Generally, the maximum ammount in a homeowner's policy is the maximum amount that the insurance company will pay. This is based on a contract between the homeowner and the insurance company. Typically, the injured party will not get a reasonable offer from the insurance company unless a suit is initiated.
