The statute of limitations for any particular case is governed by the state where you file the suit. In Texas, the period for filing a suit in a personal injury negligence claim is two years. However, unless Texas has some sort of jurisdiction over the defendant, the case will probably get dismissed. Then, you might have missed the time limit in the proper state. Your safest bet is to hire an attorney in the state and county where the accident happened.
