Re: Real estate

A temporary restraining order is an extreme measure and shouldn't be attempted by someone who is not represented by counsel. You should speak with the attorney doing the foreclosure, and the financial institution (the attorney can tell you the appropriate contact.) Let them know you have a sale pending, give them the names of the title company and buyer's agent, etc. Many times, they will voluntarily wait to foreclose for a month if there is a bona fide sale pending (many banks don't want your property, they just want the money.) If you can afford it, you can get a real estate attorney to assist you with this for a few hundred dollars.
