Legal Question in Traffic Law in Texas

i received a digital automated red light violation in on january 5th from a law firm debt collector wanting $100. the violation on the notice says it was committed in september. i had to request a copy of the violation to even see it. when i recieved the violation, it says it was to be payed by october, or a $25 late penalty would be imposed. i feel that i shouldn't have to pay the penalty if the city wanted to go through a debt collector on the other side of the country, when they could of mailed the same form to my address, in the city. i also found out on the violation that i could of easily payed online via link on the form if it was sent on time instead of going through a law firm. there are also errors on vehicle type and year on the form. do i have a chance to pay the original fee of $75?

Don't pay it at all, and stop talking to these people.

Cars don't commit moving traffic violations; people do. Can these folks prove (beyond a reasonable doubt) that you were driving the car? NO.
