401 K assistance

I was awared a 401K QUADRO from my Ex it was due to pay me $8000 in 9/06. Well everytime I call they tell me they are being audited and unable to disburse any funds. Can they do this, I am on the verge of eviction, loosing my car...etc --name removed--M Valle

You better get some more information on this. Why are they being audited? Why can't they disburse funds? Are tney in receivership? Do you need to make a claim for your money? If this is the case, you better start making other arrangements, because you won't be getting this money for a while.
