Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

I live in Texas am being sued by Fannie Mae. Fannie Mae bought my house at foreclosure auction, Chase had been the mortgage holder, but another bank was the original mortgage holder. I had sold my home to my mother-in-law the day after her death, but my partner and I were told to continue with closing because we had Statutory Power of Attorney and Last Will and Testament. Fannie Mae is claiming fraud, conspiracy to commit fraud and negligence and gross negligence. Do I have a legal leg to stand on? Is it legal for Fannie Mae to be the one suing? Is there a statute of limitations on this situation, since her death occurred 6 years and 3 months ago? Thank you for any advise.

This scenario is too complicated for a simple answer...you should hire a lawyer to review the lawsuit and your facts...normally such lawsuits could be defended..
