Marriage Recognition in England and the US

If a man is legally married in London England and has been separated and working in the US for over 2 years but is still a English Citizen, files income tax as single in the US; If that man remarries in the US is he committing bigamy?

He is a married man until he divorces.

To answer your next question, he can file for divorce in the USA. If he lives in Texas he must be a residence of Texas at least 6 months and live in the same county at least 90 days.
