Legal Question in Family Law in Utah

I was divorced 5 years ago in Idaho, I presently live in Utah, my ex husband is in the Phillipines. The decree granted me alimony which was set up as an allotment from my ex husbands retirement. he has stopped the allotment. What is my recourse?

Since you were divorced in Idaho, you would have to consult an attorney there to take action to enforce the decree. However, if there is also a child support order in your decree, you can contact the Utah Office of Recovery Services who can then take action on your behalf to collect the alimony payments. However, if there is no child support involved in your case, the best and easiest course would be to have an attorney in Idaho take the matter back to court.
