I have a 5 yo grandaughter, parents never married, mother has new boyfriend, they refuse to let grandaughter have anything to do with fathers family, I am paternal grandmother, I want to see her, how can I legally get visitation?

Utah has a law just for such situations. You may file for formal grandparent visitation, which usually gives at least one vist per month, sometimes more. The suit is filed in the county where the child lives. The process can take several months, depending on the resistence of the parent.
