Legal Question in Family Law in Vermont

minor marriage

I was married at age 16yrs.my step father signed who was not my legal guardian.now my real father says my marriage was never legal.my mom never attended or signed for me to marry.i am know 42 i was married in the state of vermont then moved to mass.could this be true?am i legallt married?

Re: minor marriage

At age 18, you could have sought an annulment. However, since it has been 24 years since you became an adult, your marriage is valid and if you want to terminate the marriage you will need a divorce.
