I was charged and convicted of domestic violence when I was 18 years old, I am currently 28. I am wanting to purchase a black powder rifle for up coming hunting season. Is this possible?

Yes, you should be able to purchase such a black powder firearm as long as it's modeled on one of 1898 vintage or earlier and, consequently, should not

put you in jeopardy of violating federal law 18 U.S.C. 922(g)(9).
