are credit profile numbers legal? I see a lot of sites online when i google it but none seemed cedible enough to determine the correct answer. i found out about this on craiglist.org.... i feel that this is a scam but am i wrong?

If you're referring to the so-called FICO credit score numbers which nearly every consumer of credit in the United States has, the answer is, yes, of course, such numbers, which are calculated by the main credit reporting agencies, are quite "legal".
