Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Virginia

Harrassment on the job

What recourse do I have when I have notified a company by writting not to call me at work & they verified receipt of the notice effective September 12, 2002 and yet today I receive a call from one of their representatives. They removed my work # from the account, showed the cease & desist order. The rep called my home number, spoke to Babysitter and never advised she was calling from a company just that she was a good friend of mine and needed my number at work. I advised her immediately when she called that I had a cease & desist and she told me I needed to listen to what she had to say. I hung up. This is the second call I have received from this company. The first time I accept their written apology. Do I have cause for harrassment on my job?

Re: Harrassment on the job

Yes, if the company is attempting to collect a debt. You need to consult with a local attorney.
