Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Virginia

I have been on long term disability since 2003 and now that want to deny my claim. During the 7 years they did not know I was getting a check for my son from SS and I did not know I was not surpose to be getting a check from SS and Disability for him. I now have a $7000.00 overpayment. I was paying them a certain amount a month, but instead of appealing I'm working on retiring. I don't know how VRS will make me repay the amount but a want to write a request for waiver. Can you give me a format for the letter?

No particular or special format required (in my opinion). Just address your request for the waiver in a letter to the VRS in plain, understandable English.
