Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Virginia

medical bills

If you have a hospital bill and are making payments every month and the hospital 's billing said it was ok to send a certain amount each month then why in the world would they decide to turn it over to a collection agency? no one wanted to get sick it just happened and paying some each month is better than nothing right? I have faithly paid each month and now they want the entire balance which I do not have what can I do?

Re: medical bills

Better contact the hospital and explain the situation and keep making your monthly payments until your account is referred for collection or

a lawsuit file against you. (You should keep a careful record of the date and name of each person you speak with regarding this matter and a brief summary of what you are told.)
