Re: Amanda Gone

You can go to Arkansas and bring your daughter back to her home in Virginia. And then you can file for legal and physical custody of the child

in the Virginia juvenile and domestic relations court in the city or county where you live.

This will be much cheaper and more expeditious than hiring a lawyer to represent you in the family courts of Arkansas.

If for whatever reason you cannot go to Arkansas(which is really not that far from Virginia), you

could also file for custody under the Uniform

Child Custody Jurisdiction Act(UCCJA), and hope,

that one day, a family court in Arkansas would see fit to grant you legal custody of your daughter.
