Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

A friend of mine showed her 17 year-old daughter her sex-toys and then offered to purchase sex-toys for the daughter. Her daughter was uncomfortable by the encounter and told a friend how gross and strange it was. Subsequently that friend told her own mother about the strange incident and that mom reported it to CPS as possible sexual abuse. My friend is worried about the possible consequences especially because she is a licensed health care professional. Should she get an attorney? Did she actually commit a crime? Are her actions illegal in any way or just poor judgment?

thanks.

Yes, she should consult with a competent criminal defense counsel if she's contacted by CPS. Probably, not, and, very likely, just poor judgment (my opinion).

Seems a bit silly to me, but yes she should see an attorney asap.
