Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

My husband has a sister who lives in another state(North Carolina) and is waiting for disability to start for her, due to severe injuries from an auto accident two years ago. Currently she lives at home there, and has gotten addicted to pain medications, and does not manage well on her own. My husband has remarked once or twice that "she could easily get into a cab, and ride up here, to our home and show up to be dealt with". Do I as a spouse, and joint owner of our home have any rights should something like that happen? It does not seem very likely, but who knows? She has a history of very irresponsible behavior.

If your husband as co-owner of your marital home should decide to allow

his sister from North Carolina to come and stay for a while(irrespective

as to how she might have arrived at your doorstep), he would have the absolute right to do so in the absence of a valid court order stating otherwise and irrespective of any objections that you might have regarding the situation.
